09:30 Setting the European Scene- Background and Introduction to the EU, its history, rationale and growth. The key European Institutions, Division of powers between the Institutions and how they interrelate Accessing EU information, Influencing the EU - operating at an EU level, Why we also need to be active at UK level, Qs and As.
11:00 Working with the European Commission- Commissioners and their Cabinets- and when to involve them. The key Directorates General, How to operate within the Commission at official level, Dealing with forthcoming legislation, Responding to Commissions action/dealing with a crisis, Discussion/Qs and As.

14:00 Working with the European Parliament and other EU bodies- EESC and Council of the Regions, How the European Parliament operates- Committees, Rapporteurs etc, EP procedures and timing, How and when to approach MEPs, Working with UK MEPs and their effectiveness, Do and dont's! Getting the inside edge, Ethics, Experiences of course attendees, Working with MEPs from other Member States, Latter stages of legislation.
15:20 Working with the Council of ministers- How the Council operates, UKREP and Whitehall, Approaching other MS Permanent Representatives, working through other Member States and at EU level, Qs and As.
15:40: The Future and Conclusions- Key issues on the horizon, Economic and monetary integration, how much bigger can it all get? Can we ignore the EU an go it alone? General discussion and final Qs and As.
