Paul Taylor, Director of Public Affairs consultancy Taylor Keogh Communications

Paul is an independent corporate communications consultant with 20 years consultancy and in-house experience. His career has included roles such as:

• Head of Corporate Affairs, London Electricity Group/EDF Energy

• Director, Keene Public Affairs – government & corporate PR consultancy

• Associate Director, Tavistock Communications – corporate/financial PR consultancy

• Consultant at City & Commercial Communications – corporate/financial PR consultancy

• Public Affairs consultant at Political Communication

At London Electricity, Paul was responsible for the group’s external and internal communication activities (including crisis communications), supporting the company’s acquisition strategy in the UK and the group’s day-to-day operations. He championed the issue of CSR onto the business agenda (with particular reference to social exclusion and diversity), and drove the group’s successful and award-winning entry into music and arts sponsorship. During his tenure, his team won the BiTC Community Award of Excellence, an FT/Arts & Business Award and a Communicator in Business Award for LE’s staff magazine.

During his consultancy career, he has worked with a diverse range of clients including AccountAbility, Ernst & Young, Severn Trent Water, Singapore Airlines, Stena Line, Toyota, Vodafone, the English New Towns, The Economist and the Falkland Islands.
